Angel and Cherry Cake

Postby Foothills » Fri Sep 30, 2011 7:52 pm

1 Angel Food Cake, cut in cubes (sugar free if able to find)
1 can cherry pie filling (lite)
1 package (small) instant vanilla pudding (I use sugar free)
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup sour cream

Place 1/2 of cake pieces in bottom of 9 x 9 inch pan. Reserve 1/3 cup cherry pie filling for garnish. spoon remainer of pie filling over cake. Pat rest of cake on top. Combine pudding mix, milk and sour cream. Beat until smooth. Spoon over cake and garnish with remaining cherries. Chill for 5 hours or overnight.

When making for a large group, I double the recipe, doing two layers of cake, cherries and pudding mix. This is very pretty layered in a large glass bowl.
