Mushroom Bread

Judy said to tell you that this one is better than the one served at the rally.

1 loaf unsliced vienna bread
8 oz fresh mushrooms
2 oz fine chopped onion
6 oz shredded Swiss cheeese
8 oz butter
1 teas season salt - (we use less)
1 teas dry mustard
1 teas lemon juice
1 teas poppy seed
garlic powder to taste

Score bread in both directions, Chop mushrooms and mix with onion. Stuff mushrooms and onions in bread cuts.
Wrap bread in foil leaving top exposed.
Melt butter, add seasonings and poppy seed. Pour on top of bread.
Place on baking sheet and cover with foil.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.

Thanks for your thoughtfulness to share this recipe. Sounds wonderful! Hard to believe that it's better than the one Judy made at the Rally----because that one was GREAT!

what kind of mushroom is used?
the canned?
is vienna bread same as french bread?
