Many U-Hauls will fill tanks and charge by amount filled. You will have to remove your tank out of the rig. Some KOA's will refill also.

There are a lot of places that will charge by gallon that is needed to fill your tank but at what price I paid $ 4.60 cents a gallon to fill a tank last year on a trip most tractor supply usually have a good price and you have to take your tank out I think the reason they have a good price on propane is to get you in there store and it works for me there is a local r v dealer dealer that refills propane tanks always charge for a full tank they don't charge for a top off price it $ 20.00 some dollars to refill.
